Article about handball in the Wall Street Journal

Walk along the boardwalk in Coney Island and you'll see the landmarks that made this beach famous: The Cyclone, Deno's Wonder Wheel, Nathan's original hot dog stand.
But there's one signature Coney Island attraction that's mostly gone unnoticed: The handball players on the courts at West 5th Street. They're not only as constant as the ocean breeze and the smell of cotton candy, but they're some of the best players in the world.
"The vast majority of one-wall handball played in the world today is played in New York City," said Mike Dau, who is chairman of the Handball Hall of Fame committee and for the past 25 years has kept the records for the U.S. Handball Association. "And many of the best players play on the courts in Coney Island." ......
